Why We Do, What We Do!

“I struggled with the stigma associated with the word ‘Diet’ – my brain revolted at the sound of it – No, no, no, everything is forbidden! However, Annette’s approach broke that barrier down and suddenly I had Control!

I had the freedom to choose what, when & how much – with a few healthy changes I felt full, satisfied and cravings for the wrong things disappeared. Because treats are allowed, eating out or celebrations became easy and without guilt.

“We started seeing Annette with an underweight child with feeding difficulties. With a very small range of safe bland foods, small portion sizes and little knowledge of chewing and bite size. She would gag and vomit on sight/touch/smell of some food textures and refused exposure at home.

Annette provided a safe space to interact with an array of foods, a judgment free zone which has over the years increased our food range three fold. We are now a healthy weight, have added to all food groups and willing to try pretty much any food we bring to the table. Sensory issues (and other diagnosis) mean we have ups and downs but it has been wonderful to have Annette there to reassure that every small step forward is in the right direction and everybody eats differently. We look forward to continuing our journey together working on mixed textures and larger portion sizes – Mum to Miss A

“Annette has helped me a lot through my food journey. She tries to help people eat food in a calm manner and doesn’t care if you spit it out. At first I didn’t even have a try at Brussel sprouts, broccoli and peas but now I eat them a lot for dinner and really like them. Annette is very nice. Miss A
